The Residence Inn in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta (about 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta) has great room rates and is clean and well-run but extremely friendly and professional staff. Perks include a full complimentary breakfast buffet each morning (its supposedly excellent), internet access, a free newspaper delivered to each room, and a pool and fitness facilities. All rooms are suite-style and have small kitchenettes. This is a pet friendly hotel that pays extra attention to your animal companions - except to receive a free treat for your pet upon arrival.
