A Fine Choice for St. Simons

Let me start by saying that I have traveled all over the world and have stayed at some outstanding hotels and some dumps (please see my travelduck profile). Folks, this hotel is a fine choice for St. Simons. It is certainly not the Ritz or Four Seasons - but it has a lot of great features. I stayed here four nights which speaks a lot to the quality. Okay, let's get something clear . . . It is NOT on the beach or really close to a swimable beach. Lacking

The hotel is NOT located on the beach. When I made the reservation I was told you could SEE the water. Their is a large community pool across the street that I think they are counting as the water. The place is run by teenagers. I honestly never saw an adult working in the four days I was there. They are not bad teenagers just teenagers sitting there hoping you don't talk to them, surfing the internet with the same answer to every question you ask them " I don't know".
