Referred to as Azalea City, Valdosta is home to the Azalea Plant, the biggest amusement park in southern Georgia, and thousands of family vacations each year. Drawing attention mostly for its biggest attraction, Wild Adventures Theme Park, kids specifically request a stay here (and lodging within ample distance) instead of other attractions in town, including historic national sites and the nearby gulf coast.
