Not to be missed: (a) pay the extra for a room w / the spectacular view over Lake Alster-and if you can pay the slight extra beyond that, the rooms with terraces make that view magical, (b) have lunch, or dinner, in the Grill, which, again, is a perfect throwback to the quality of food and as importantly service offered pre-war and (c) have a drink in the tiny bar off the lobby, which makes you feel like you are in a 1930s/40s movie. more on Yahoo!
