WOULD have been lovely....if they would have accepted my reservation

I inquired to stay at this B&B for Thanksgiving of 2008 - thats about 1.5 years away. There were going to be 9 of us (two are toddlers). WE DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

We came here, August 10, 2008. Nothing is as we expected. First, the hosts NEVER came to greet us. A note was left on the front door for us with a key and instructions to let ourselves in. They made Kauai special.

My wife and I were going to get married in Maui but a friend of mine recommended Kauai instead and in perticular the Kauai country inn so we called and spoke to Mike and Martina Hough who were very gracious hosts and made our wedding and our stay perfect and unforgetable. Felt bad only paying $99 per night for Orchid suite.

This is the only place I've ever stayed where I felt bad about the rate upon checkout. Kauai Country Inn is an absolute steal. We loved it here.
