Private, lovely...but a few things to know before you go

We stayed in the Hale Lani cabin - and everything everyone says about the beauty, the privacy, the amentities...all true. We were there for 5 nights of our honeymoon, after staying at a resort in Wailea (Maui) and two nights in Hana (Maui). It was a welcome change to be in a home, with a kitchen, laundry, etc. we were really pleased and would most likely recommend the place to any other honeymooning couples. a few things to note though: - the trip down to Secret Beach is VERY long and VERY steep, although the website does not seem to suggest as such. Honeymoon Heaven on Earth

My husband and I stayed at the "Hale Lani" cottage for our honeymoon almost three years ago, and I still think about it almost daily. It is one of three luxury cottages in the Michele Hughes Secret Beach Hideaway development on the North Shore of Kauai, within easy driving distance to all the fun things to do on the North Shore (some of our favorites were snorkeling at Tunnels Beach, eating lunch at Tropical Taco, sea kayaking in Hanalei bay) but far enough away from civilization that it felt like our own little private, tropical paradise.
