Not recommended

I called twice beforehand and requested an upper floor unit in phase 3. When we got there to check-in, they had us in a ground floor unit, in phase 1, right by the garbage cans by the busy main road. His next offer when we were not happy with that was a ground floor unit in phase 1 behind a bunch of trees. He said the foliage might help diffuse the road noise. Great stay at Pahio at Ka'eo Kai

We've just returned and I've read one of the most recent posts and it's hard to believe we were at the same place. We traveled with our 3 children ages 23, 21, and 19. I had done my research, knew what we wanted out of the vacation, booked the trip through RCI points and was not disappointed. We were there from 7/14 - 7/21 in a 2 bedroom unit. Happy Family

We arrived at Lihue airport about noon on June 15, did our check in at the booth at the airport (very convenient - I hope the Wyndham people who have taken over this Pahio resort continue this amenity) Ka E'O Kai is in Princeville, so after getting our rental vans, we were on our way. (11 of us - my son, daughter in law, 4 granddaughters, ages 14 thru 21, my sis & brother in law, one of my brothers & sis in law, and me! I had rented 2 two bedroom units thru RCI for us for the week of June 15 - 22, 1 unit for my son & family, the other for us old folk. We stopped for lunch at Scotty's on our way to Princeville. Loved the "garage door" windows facing the beach, and when it showered, they simply closed them! Every thing we ordered was good, and I thought reasonable. Reading the forum pages told me we should shop for groceries in Kapaa, not wait until we got to Princeville, so we did so. We arrived in Princeville about 4, picked up our keys & checked out the units. My son's was a 2nd floor unit, with cathedral ceilings and a large wrap around deck. Ours was a 1st floor unit, which doesn't have cathedral ceilings, and has a patio, the same size as the wrap around deck.
