beautiful property, not for the budget-conscious

This is an expensive hotel ($250/night to face away from the ocean) that offers a unique environment from which to explore the Kona coast. They do have a great room rate for federal employees/military personnel with proof of employment which is the primary reason that I stayed there. Service, helpfulness, and friendliness were all that we experienced from hotel staff for the entire week. Our room was not what we had reserved. However, one call to the front desk and we were immediately provided with a top floor room with an exquisite ocean view in the Palace Tower. Wow!
