As the largest city in Canyon Country, you can definitely expect to see a lot of surprises in Nampa. Located around 20 miles from Boise using Interstate 84, Nampa is actually considered to be a part of Boise metropolitan area. No one is certain just exactly how Nampa got its name; many believe that it means "moccasin" in the Native American language.
This city is actually founded in 1886 by the Europeans and it expanded rapidly since then. In the past, Nampa also used to be a very important railroad town especially during the 1880s. But unlike many towns that were formed in its era that had streets that run north to south, the city actually has roads that are perpendicular to its railroads. The streets were planned y Alexander Duffel in order to prevent railroad accidents from happening.
Aside from its fascinating history though, there are many other things you can explore in Nampa. For example, the Lakeview Park is one of the biggest parks and many celebrations are held in this area. Meanwhile, it is also important for you to choose good Nampa Romantic hotels to stay in especially if you are traveling with your loved one. The Hampton Inn & Suites Nampa is a great Nampa Romantic Lodging because it is located just outside the Boise area. It also has various amenities including an indoor heated pool, fitness center, and a business center.
