Because of its secure neighborhoods and quiet charm, Champaign Illinois is a popular setting for couples seeking a romantic getaway. We were charmed with the comfort and luxury of the Victorian Rose Bed & Breakfast Inn. The Dr. Walls room was massive and comfortable—we loved the Amish quilt on the full sized Victorian bed. The unique Dr. Cozy Room was our choice, with its sitting room and romantic window seat. Don’t miss the amazing array of antiques in the parlor and breakfast is definitely generous and appetizing!
Romantic Couples seeking an intimate, kids-free vacation will enjoy The Avenue Bed & Breakfast in Champaign Illinois. Although the Kings Suite is more spacious and boasts a sitting room, we were seduced by “The Maid’s Suite,” occupying the entire third floor upstairs. The original claw foot tub and pedestal sink were quaint and romantic. The owner was charming and attentive, and we appreciated the afternoon refreshments. The Avenue’s crowning glory is the full gourmet breakfast each morning.
We selected the nearby Vrooman Mansion B&B in nearby Bloomington, Indiana. The elegant Julia Vrooman suite was the perfect choice for our romantic anniversary getaway and the mansion’s one acre property offered plenty of opportunity for secluded walks on the grounds. For a royal setting, Vrooman Mansion is the best B&B!
