Not quite a jewel
The first thing you notice when entering the hotel is a moldy /musty smell. The lobby has been restored and looks beautiful. Check in went well and the staff was friendly. While visiting Peoria, we stayed at the Hotel Pere Marquette(named after one of the earliest of the French explorers, Father Jacques Marquette).
