J'aime le place et les hommes!
We have stayed at the Bayou Cabins twice already and plan to go back. Almost all of the cabins are built (actually, restored and relocated) over the waters of Bayou Teche, the original Cajun Highway. Couldn't agree more!
I completely agree with the previous review! We stayed at Bayou Cabins in April and had a delightful experience. Unfortunately we missed breakfast since we had a swap tour scheduled for that time. Great cabins and the cajun breakfast is awesome!
I first found out about this place when I watched the Discovery channel show "Dirty Jobs". The host Mike Rowe stayed here. This place isn't just a B&B but Sonny (the owner) makes cracklin' and awesome Boudin here too. It's sort of a mini meat shop too. The Dirty Jobs show filmed the making of the... Bayou Cabins is really something different, especially compared to regular motels. It has an unique atmosphere and the owners are very friendly. The cabins are big enough, solid and clean.
