HWY 71 IS THE OLD STATE HIGHWAY AND RUNS DIRECTLY THROUGH BUNKIE, FOLKS COMING FROM BATON ROUGE WILL FIND THAT IF THEY TAKE HIGHWAY 190 AND HIT HWY 71 AT KROTZ SPRINGS IT IS MUCH SHORTER, WATCH THE SPEED LIMIT THOUGH*
