Black Jack Inn is two miles south of Coushatta Casino and Golf Course, approximately 35 miles from Lake Charles Airport, and 50 miles from Alexandria and Lafayette. Kinder was established in 1885 and was named after the first settler, James Kinder. He opened a small store, and as settlers migrated into the area, the name developed by the constant usage. I rolled in about 1 in the morning on Nov.19 and got a clean room for about $70 no problem (they have hair dryers). more on TripAdvisor

It's just a quiet, clean, safe place to sleep and stow your stuff within walking distance of the casino. more on TripAdvisor
