Not there for the gambling

We visited the resort over Memorial Day and were in town for our son's baseball games. We booked through a person who frequently gambles at the resort and so we got a VIP rate of $89/weekend, $59/ weekday. WOW, when I called on my own, I was given a $295 rate. Nice Hotel - Can't believe I'm in Lake Charles LA

I didn't pay for the one night stay we had. The room was comped from a releative who gambles all the time. We ate at Jack Daniels Bar & Grill. The food was average. The service was horrible. I expected a lot more. The restaurant was well decorated and had a very nice atmosphere. Our room was super nice. It was huge. The view of the river was nice. The room also was very clean. ... Still needs work

We stayed for two nights at the new hotel. First of all, the staff needs training on customer service throughout the complex.
