Hooray for Hilton!

~~We recently decided to take a quick trip to the Shreveport-Bossier City area. With that decision made I immediately began researching hotels and recommendations on tripadvisor. ~~I saw that Hampton was ranked number 1 and I have to admit I have always had great experiences at the Hampton hotels so I checked out the website of Hampton and the Hilton family of hotels. The rate was reasonable so I contacted the hotel directly to inquire about the type of room available, from prior experience I have found that many Hampton Inns have 2 queen beds available and that was what we were looking for this time - a very nice young lady told me that no, they did not have queen beds at their location only doubles and kings. However, since I had mentioned that I was an HHonors member (the value card from Hilton Group) for email specials, etc. she advised me to contact the Hilton downtown. I thanked her for the information and called the Hilton Shreveport. ~~The rooms did indeed have 2 queen beds and there was a vacancy for the next night as ... lady_k_online, a user of Tripadvisor. Great Hotel – You won’t be disappointed!

We stayed on Friday (8/31) night for a rewards night (cost: 30,000 points) and were so pleased with the overall experience that we checked back in two hours after leaving for another reward night (it didn’t hurt that we had decent luck at the casinos the night before).
