This 1920s Inn has been lovingly restored. It is absolutely charming and elegant. The guest rooms are small (because the original footprint was preserved) but redone with such taste and attention to detail that you at once feel comfortable and pampered, yet at the same time can still sense the original character of the place. The large lobby with the original beautiful stone fireplace is so comfortable, every piece of furniture invites you to snuggle in and rest in luxury. My husband and I stayed at the Chebeauge Island Inn over Labor Day weekend. The Pros: We had incredible weather, which made exploring the remote, yet beautiful island enjoyable. The Inn is set on a great location, right by the water and beautiful sunsets. The Inn has numerous LL Bean bikes for its guests to use free of charge.
