Quiet, well run lodging in central Mid-coast Maine

We enjoyed a three week business/vacation stay at the Cod Cove Inn in June. The innkeepers & staff were very friendly & accommodating. Nice motel, one problem with the service

We stayed at the Cod Cove on our wedding night at the end of June 2005. After a hot day outside, we were looking forward to coming back to our room and crashing in the cool air. A motel, not an inn! Very good nevertheless.

I booked this via the internet, expecting an "Inn". On arrival, we were very dissapointed to find that it is simply a motel. The view of the lake/river/sea that was shown on the website was also very misleading, as it is across 2 major roads! That seems to have been removed now - no doubt after c... It's a motel, not an Inn

While taking our time to visit various cities in Maine, we decided to "wing it" for a few nights as to where we would stay. We stopped at a restaurant in Edgecomb and at about 9:30pm, we decided to backtrack to the Cod Cove Inn. We paid Inn prices for a motel. It sits up on a hill and you have a ...
