The quiet town
of Kennebunk, Maine has been a mainstay for numerous celebrities, one
president, and other seafaring residents for centuries, the peaceful
lobster-bearing shores driving in visitors every summer. The only place in the east where local
lodging beat name-brand lodging, cottages and locally owned hotels line
Kennebunk's scenic city streets, alongside delicious seafood restaurants and
locals always willing to point you in the right direction. Peace is found here for all families during
the summer who wish to vacation here, and Kennebunk is definitely the place to
show your kids what warmth and peace really means.
Nestled along
the Kennebunk river, the biggest attraction (besides lodging) in Kennebunk are
their beaches, with gentle surf available for kids to play in. Other attractions include the Seashore
Trolley Museum and Splashtown USA. If
your kids need something in their mouths instead, plenty of affordable seafood
restaurants are available along the shoreline.
For lodging that accommodates them, the only thing you should consider
is local. Although name-brand hotels are
available in town, they don't compare to the hospitality found in local inns
and cottages. Choose a local hotel or
cottage for a relaxing vacation along the shoreline, or if your budget permits
it, upscale lodging around the shoreline.
Upscale hotels are found along Kennebunk's shoreline also, although we
do not recommend it. For more vacation
lodging information about Kennebunk, including hotels, motels, attractions, kid
friendly activities, and more, visit their website.
