Mainely Very Good
Kennebunkport can be a very busy place in the summer. Cars and pedestrians often jam the area around Dock Square and a steady stream of vehicles cruise along Ocean Avenue in search of the area’s beautiful ocean vistas or to gawk at former President Bush’s mansion at Walkers Point. FROM THE MAINE TURNPIKE, TAKE EXIT 2 TO ROUTE 9 EAST IN WELLS, OR EXIT 3 TO ROUTE 35 EAST TO KENNEBUNK. FOLLOW ROUTE 9 OR ROUTE 35 TO KENNEBUNKPORT WHERE THE TWO ROUTES JOIN AT THE SIGNAL LIGHTS NEXT TO THE SUNOCO GAS STATION . TAKE ROUTE 9 ACROSS THE BRIDGE INTO DOCK SQUARE . GO STRAIGHT THROUGH DOCK SQUARE, THEN RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE NOTT HOUSE ONTO MAINE STREET. STAYING ON MAINE STREET, GO HALF A MILE, THEN BEAR RIGHT AT THE FORK IN THE ROAD ONTO SOUTH MAINE STREET . WE ARE 3/10 S OF A MILE ON RIGHT. LOOK HIGH ON THE POSTS FOR THE BLUE SIGNS WITH THE WHITE GLOW IN THE DARK LETTERING
