My wife and I stayed at the Moorings in New Harbor, Maine for one week (the minimum stay) in July. It defies the logic of most similar accomodations and is in a category of its own. I have spent most of my adult life on the Outer Banks of North Carolina (Mantico) and always felt that it was simply Idyllic. I sadly watched as the whole area became overdeveloped and densely populated. My wife and I during a temporary escape several years ago, discovered and began vacationing in the Pemaquid Region of Mid-Coast Maine (New Harbor.)
