The Regent Ankara Hotel is the most luxurious hotel in Kazakhstan. It is a nice place to stay if you don't want to have to put up with the crap that is all too common in post-Soviet accomodations - rude/slow staff, credit card machines that never work, terrible food, dirty rooms, etc.. Almaty luxury accomodations!

I had a very nice stay at the Regent. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The hotel had a nice lounge where musicians would play Jazz, a great restaurant for breakfast and a good workout facility.
