A special place for a relaxing rest

We had a lovely visit in late June, 2007. We selected the Inn based on research, comments on Trip Advisor and other sites, and word of mouth since we were looking for a quiet, peaceful place to spend a quiet long weekend doing nothing. B&B’s are not our style and we were looking for a place where restaurants were nearby if not part of the establishment. We arrived early on Saturday morning well before the 3:00 pm check in time. Although we had been told that we would have the one upstairs room facing the water that has front and side windows (which we would definitely ask for again), a different room was ready, which we took without dealing with the discrepancy. We were pleased that we had reserved the upstairs rooms ... erntravels, a user of Tripadvisor. Read full review on tripadvisor

Didn't stay in the inn-just ate here. Terrible experience!

My husband and I just got back from a long weekend at Tilghman Island/St. Michaels. Our dinner on Sunday night at the Tilghman Island Inn was the worst dining experience we have ever had! And we eat out a lot! The service was horrible! The bus girl, felt compelled to launch into a long story telling us how tired she was due to high school starting and her staying out too late. The waitress completely ignored ... Chamounix, a user of Tripadvisor. Read full review on tripadvisor

Quiet, relaxing and dog friendly

The Inn is located near the end of Tilghman island, Maryland. Fairly isolated and quiet, right on the Chesapeake Bay. This inn is VERY dog friendly. The staff is very helpful and friendly as well. We stayed on the lower floor which I believe are the dog friendly rooms, since the dogs are not allowed upstairs. Dogs are not permitted in the dining room or the pool area. But they are allowed in (and at) the bar and on the deck. We had dinner with our dogs in the bar. There are two small tables in the bar area for as well as seats at the bar itself and ... beagleworld, a user of Tripadvisor. Read full review on tripadvisor

A Very Bad Choice

Our recent stay at the Tilghman Island Inn could not have been any worse that it was. We had booked the Inn online and had planned to stay three nights. The rate for the first two nights at least was a relatively high $250 per night, so our expectations were equally high. The problems some small, some larger were numerous… The facilities were nothing more than a renovated motel. Our room was nicely furnished and appointed but unfinished and had some rough edges…there were two painted but empty shelves in the bathroom that had holes drilled in them ...
