Pay only the absolute lowest rate.
If it hadn't been for the low Internet rate, I would have moved to another long-stay hotel (there are several in the area). I had requested a non-smoking room and was given a room that reeked of cigarette smoke. I asked to try another room. That one had cigarette burns on the bed cover. The third try proved best, but I would often smell the faint odor of cigarette smoke coming from my bathroom vent because the air exhausted from smoking rooms was circulating throughout the hotel in its air venting system. The room had a small yet very useful fully-equipped kitchen and a good shower. A small and narrow exposed area with "Closet Maid" type wire shelving and rack served as the corner to store luggage and hang clothes. It had a table for dining and another that served as a desk. There was a one-time charge of $4.99 for connecting to the Internet. Local telephone calls were free. The laundry room on the first floor had old washers and dryers that cost $1 per load. ...
