Most disappointing

Our party of two couples from the UK had originally planned to spend our 4 nights at the nearby Best Western Black Swan (which also fronts directly onto Laurel Lake) having greatly enjoyed our stay there several years back. We did not because of adverse comments on Tripadvisor about "scruffy" cabins adjacent to the site etc. In the event these reports turned out to be completely inaccurate and unfair and we wonder who posted such misleading comments?!!!. Lovely old inn

Having read good and bad reviews about this place, we can see how both can be true! Yes, it is quaint and quirky, the floors slope and the paint peels a bit. Avoid if you're not a "B&B person"

OK, there are peope who love B&Bs, and people who don't. I'm in the latter category, but sometimes there's just no better choice. We wanted to be near the Berkshire Theater Festival in Stockbridge. Beautiful lake views and great breakfasts

My family shared two rooms at the inn over a long weekend this August. The location is ideal for boating and swimming on Laurel Lake, which is a pristine, undeveloped lake mostly surrounded by private homes and a small public beach.
