A motor lodge, not an Inn

The Berkshire Inn in Pittsfield, MA did not match it's write-up or star rating. This is a converted "motor court", not an "inn". All rooms are first floor rooms and opened directly out into the parking lot - motor lodge style. The window A/C did not keep the room cool enough and the lights dimmed... A Clean Room at a Bargain Price

This inn is a motel from the sixties, but don't let that fool you. It is very clean and the prices, if you beat the Tanglewood price increases, are a real bargain. Scary and ridiculously overpriced

There is nothing positive to say about this establishment. We had tickets for Tanglewood, and rather than make a three-hour drive, we decided to spend $196.00 for the night at the Inn.
