mixed experiences...

I've stayed here a number of times over the past few years. The first visit was "just OK" for me. The first visit left me wondering if I'd ever want to stay there again it was so bad (I was pretty sure I wrote a pretty bad review, but I don't seem to see it anywhere here...). The third was again just OK. This past time was above average. The level of service here isn't *quite* what I'd expect at a high end luxury hotel (a la Ritz Carlton NY--the Ritz Carlton Dearborn certainly doesn't make that mark either). This past time is the only time I've visited where the doormen even opened the door. They seemed to consistantly do it, and even followed ... dddane, a user of Tripadvisor.
