Unusual accomodations
Traveling from the east coast to west coast we ended up needing to stay in Escanaba. The hotel website looked interesting from a historical perspective. Haunted Hotel?
We found the House of Ludington Hotel to be fun and interesting. Owners Ed and Suzell were personally welcoming and attentive to our every need. The Hotel is historic and restored to the style of its original era. This hotel does have the first glass elevator ever in the state of Michigan and Yes... giggleshanks, a user of Tripadvisor. Enjoyed our stay
We stayed only one night but felt like we were visiting in a relatives guest room. the room was huge and furnished with a fun and tasteful collection of various pieces that could have been from anyone's home including a very comfortable recliner chair. Interesting, fun and cozy
The House of Ludington was a really neat and interesting place to stay. The owners were very nice and helpful, dinner in the restaurant was great and the portions were huge.
