Very Nice and Clean Hotel

My husband , 16 year old son and I stayed at the Hilton Promenade July 18-21 of 2007. We booked a double queen bedroom w/ patio overlooking the fountains. When we go on vacation, we usually stay at cabins or rental properties, so this was 'odd' for us to be staying at a hotel. We do stay at hotels quite often while we are traveling to our final destination(s), but generally we like more room and ammenities that a house would offer and that a hotel room cannot. I picked the Hilton in Branson because of the high marks others here on TripAdvisor gave this hotel, and for the most part everyone was right about their accounts of this hotel. I'll start by just listing what I saw as positives and then what little negatives throughout ourstay there were. Positive: Had requested a 3pm check-in time. When we arrived at 3:30 the room was not ready and we waited almost an hour for the maids to clean it. This normally would not be a positive for me, but the employees in the lobby( valets, etc.) were very accomodating to us as we sat there waiting. They brought us ice cold water, gave us three passes for free ice creams at the Marble Slab, and gave us a voucher for free internet servce, movies or game rental ... Perfect Location!

I booked this hotel for a girls' weekend stay (my mother, who's in her seventies, sister and niece, and me). I had no idea what a wonderful location this hotel was in. We stayed at several different hotels in Branson and this one was perfect and not uber-hillbilly, like the locations of the previous hotel experiences, which was very refreshing. They had plenty of towels for us and the rooms were very clean when we returned from mega-shopping! We did not try out their room service, as in any hotel, it's normally way over-priced. There were a few places: Gloria Jean's, Subway and Haagen-Daz, that offered good coffee and pastries for a smaller pricetag. We did go to Bob Evan's ... Chinacat51, a user of Tripadvisor.
