Nice Scenery, Cheaply-built Units

We exchanged our weeks from the Starwood vacation ownership properties, which are of a high value of the Starwood properties for a “so-called” Gold Crown RCI resort, which should been a comparable exchange. It was definitely not. We stayed at the resort during Veteran's Week in mid-November, 2007. The exchange resort, Sliverleaf’s Holiday Hills Resort in Branson, MO, was about a 400 Sq Ft unit of living area, including kitchen, but not including the master bedroom and bathroom. More time and money was spent on esthetics instead of functionality. The living room and dinette furniture was too big and clunky for the room size, not to mention how uncomfortable it was. Also, the tabletops will not withstand use, as coaster is needed for your drinks, thereby increasing the replacement and maintenance cost to the time-share owners. The kitchen was very tiny with only about an area of 26’ x 18” inches of useable counter space. Not designed for cooking in. We were very disappointed with the working order and condition of some of the kitchen tools and appliances. The spatula (plastic) was not only discolored and misshapen, but the ends were ... Very pleasant experience

great family vacation at holiday hills

We actually fell into our weeks stay at the Silver leaf's Holiday hills resort. We bid on an RCI auction for a silver leaf resort. We were amazed at how great everything was. We were given a 1 bdrm unit at the presidental fairway. It was totally fine for us with 2 small children as they loved sleeping on the couches! We will go elsewhere next time
