A wonderful getaway

I took my husband for a weekend getaway. It was his fiftieth birthday. I've always loved Hannibal and my husband being the character he is would appreciate staying the night in a converted house of ill-fame.

Restaurant not kid friendly & pasta for two not very big

There is absolutely nothing for the kids here. Since I cannot find a seperate listing for the Lula Belle's restaurant, I am posting it here. A year ago my organization hosted a retreat in the Hannibal area and had the food catered by Lula Belle's. I remembered that the food was absolutely fantastic so when we came back to Hannibal, ... Lula Belle's a Rude, Filthy Mess

First of all, LulaBelle's is not a bed and breakfast, as it advertises itself to be. It is a small inn. So don't expect a B&B experience when you go there. Or, actually, even a small inn experience. Unless you count blatant disregard and sleeping in dusty ickiness an "experience." I arrived and stood in the foyer, which is also the foyer for the restaurant (downstairs of the rooms in the main building), with all my luggage and tired from traveling, for several minutes as three waitress walked back and forth in front of me, never seeming to notice me at all. Finally, I approached one of them and told her I was a guest. She unceremoniously took my credit card and showed me to the bottom of the stairwell, literally pointing upward in the general direction of my room. That ... redlotusblossom, a user of Tripadvisor.
