Nicknamed the
City of Fountains, Missouri's biggest town is proving to be bigger by the
minute. Proving to be very different
from their Kansas counterpart, Kansas City is the home to the most scenic parks
and recreation sites in Missouri, including art attractions such as The Bloch
Building. Although younger kids might
not enjoy Kansas City's rich cultural and arts heritage, older kids will enjoy
their vacations here. Along with
numerous attractions and restaurants (Kansas City is known for their
outstanding barbecue), kids will enjoy a stay in the kid-accommodated lodging
facilities in town, including upscale hotels and finer resorts.
If you plan to
vacation here for a while, make sure you pick the right lodging for your
stay. There are a handful that will not
suit kids, but sticking to downtown Kansas City should point you in the right
direction. Lodging here consists of
upscale hotels and resorts overlooking downtown Kansas City, encompassing most
of downtown Kansas City. Along with fun
attractions in these hotels, including fun waterparks, families will enjoy the
spacious beds and quiet rooms filled with fun amenities, such as complimentary
HBO and the comfiest beds in Missouri.
All attractions here are easily accessed by foot or bus -- for a fun
kick to your family vacation, consider visiting the American Jazz Museum,
followed up by a visit to a local barbecue restaurant.
