Old world with a modern twist
This hotel was interesting in their decorations and style. You walk in and it smells sort of musty, smoky--like old wood. Mainly that is due to all the wonderfully and tasteful decorated shakespearian style lobby complete with a fireplace. Last fall, my wife and I volunteered for an event at Forest Park, so the location was perfect. I called the hotel direct for rate and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to negotiate down from about $130 to $80.
