Good buy for the money.
We stayed at this hotel two nights starting 7/21/07. This is an old historic hotel that is still being used. Our room was large, clean, and well maintained. I travel to Butte 3 - 4 times a year and would not stay anywhere but the Finlen. The Taras family has done a wonderful job restoring the public areas of the hotel to it's former grandeur. Beautiful! If you like art-deco decor coupled with a reasonable price, this is the place. Large, well lit room, and very clean. The lobby is beautifully done in period, with glossy magazines adjacent to period chairs. (good magazines too!) The downer; no place to eat in the hotel nor any services... Superb place to stay. Clean, spacious, modern rooms at more than reasonable prices. The staff exemplifies Butte's reputation of friendly people. Old but FABULOUS!
A fabulous grand lady of a hotel! We checked in here for the remainder of our week in Butte after a sleepless night in a noisy hotel across town.
