to be avoided by all means
This motel has room isolation issues. We stayed at the ground floor in the two storey building and were kept from proper rest by shower and WC flow noises from adjacent and upper floor rooms. this is not a 'up' scale locale
Cooke City is an interesting little place - all about motors (as in motorcycles and snowmobiles) and it's only 5 miles from Yellowstone. Would stay at again
Nice rooms, pet friendly (which was why we stayed) .. Owners were nice and pointed us in the direction of some nice hikes (Abundance Lake) and up Daisy and Lulu Pass. Lovely lodging on the edge of Yellowstone
We stayed at the Alpine Motel while touring Yellowstone in October 2005. Cooke City itself was very small and most of the amenities were closed (it was at the very end of the season) but there were stores inside the park itself (notably at Mammoth) - if anybody else is staying in Cooke City at th... Never Again !
We were repeat customers - in the past we had noise issues. The owner usually tried to accomodate and provide a quiet room - usually one that was not underneath a contracted room for multiple guest.
