Missoula is the center of five valleys in the northwestern part of Western Montana. Although it is physically a part of the Rocky Mountains, the city is actually more closely identified with the Pacific Northwest because of its interesting mix of residents that include artists, athletes, yuppies, students, and ranchers. Missoula is also noted to be one of the friendliest and most vibrant cities in the country because its eclectic mix makes it more open to new and exciting changes. In addition, it would seem as if everyone in Missoula is connected with each other one way or another through the city's sawmill or through the university.
If you are in Missoula for a family vacation, then you should not miss going to Mount Sentinel because it gives a great view of the entire area when you reach the top. Other notable trails include the Rattlesnake Wilderness which contrary to its name does not have any rattlesnakes at all. Meanwhile, the Marshall Mountain is perfect for the beginner.
Of course, your travel will not be complete without booking at one of the beautiful Missoula Family Lodging here. Some Missoula family bed and breakfast we recommend include the Blue Mountain B&B, the Microtel Inn & Suites Missoula, and the C'Mon Inn.
