loved it

we had a great stay at the pheonix inn. Nice for a stopover

For the price of $38 for 2 queen beds, microwave,refrigerator,tv etc I would say it is value for money. However, the carpet and draperies looked old. The wash basin cold water faucet was not working.

A curious little no-frills hotel

This is a curiously quirky little no-frills hotel. The lady who checked me in looked like an aging biker chick, complete with aging biker hanging out in the checkin area talking to her, and there were cats lounging around as well as piles of books. The only thing that I thought was unusual about this place was that there was no maid service during my three night stay. Personally, I didn't mind that at all, but I'd think some people would.
