Only a couple of miles from the main hwy thru Carson City, between Tahoe and Reno, Gold Dust is great value, about half other motels nearby and much less than staying up the mountain. more on TripAdvisor

I like it now that they have improved the food and have more for kids. more on Travelocity.com
