As many parents know based on their experiences, the success of family vacations depend on the number of new things that kids discover during the trip. “New things” does necessarily not include old artifacts. “New things” usually means animals and rides. With this in mind, the family will appreciate the numerous kid friendly hotels and fun tourist attractions that are found in Henderson, Nevada. The kids simply needed to bring four important stuffs: their comfortable walking shoes, binoculars, fast digital cameras, and ice skating shoes.
The first stop of the family vacation can be the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve, where more than 200 species of migratory birds spend a few hours to relax before continuing their journey across the continent. But why do birds choose Henderson? This is because the city is an oasis in the middle of the Mojave Desert. The kids can watch the birds descend and find food on one of the 9 ponds. The next stop of the family vacation is the MonteLago Village Ice Rink at Lake Las Vegas, where the ice skating shoes will be used. Built on a floating stage, this 40 ft by 70 ft ice rink is open only from November to January. Thus, families must make advance reservations through their website.
