Look beyond your first impressions
I tried really hard NOT to like the Carson Valley Inn, but by the time I left, they'd won me over. I was booked into the hotel attached to the casino (NOT the motor lodge, which is part of the same property) when I went for a job interview at a nearby company. Carson Valley Motor Inn
We stayed at the Motor Inn Sept. 3. Don't confuse the Motor Inn with the casino hotel. Trip Advisor should probably split the two. Carson Valley Inn actual has three sections: the hotel in the casino building, the motor inn (motel) that's a block north on 395 from the casino, and a RV park. Loved the Carson Valley Inn
Our entire stay at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden, Nevada was excellent from the casino, restaurants, and rooms. Spent this past Memorial Day weekend at the CVI. Stayed in a suite, but wouldn't do it again. CVI appears to draw an older crowd.All in all, everything was just average. Not again, I'll go to Reno
This was the second time I stayed at CVI. It will definitely be my last. I must say that the rooms are spacious and appointed adequately. The bathrooms are good sized as well.
