Thayer's Inn nightmare
Thayer's Inn provided a textbook case of how not to run an establishment. After reserving well ahead of time, we arrived at the inn only to be told that our rooms had been given to someone else under the false pretext that our credit card number was invalid. We have stayed at Thayer's several times in a variety of rooms. We usually make a last minute decision and have found that room or two available to choose from.
