Great New England History
We stayed at the Alden Country Inn during a college visit to Dartmouth, ten miles down the road in Hanover. This is a wonderful country inn (and it IS in the country) that exudes New England history. Definitely "historic"
Just returned from a week-end at the Inn -- our first and last time there. Our room, #17, was on the third floor -- up two flights of narrow stairs. There was the tiniest of sinks in the corner, and the "bathroom" was a converted closet. There was hardly room to sit on the toilet without putting ... MamaFleisch, a user of Tripadvisor. Nice rooms, cold inkeeper
I stayed here with my boyfriend in July 06, and while the inn was clean and well-kept, the reception from the innkeeper was frosty! She made us feel as if we were imposing upon her by staying there. GREAT PLACE TO GET AWAY
This was our first time at a bed and breakfeast. The Alden Country Inn went above and beyond all expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous.
