This hotel was alright, not great but not horrible either. Great Place to stay!

we loved our room it was very spacious and clean .in spite of all the hipe about the Trop being dirty and having bed bugs it was very untrue! we ate at corkys for lunch. it was buy one get one pulled pork sand. french fries and slaw. delicious! it cost us all of $10.70. we also ate at carmines fi... Old, dirty room, nothing attractive

Firstly, The decor of cordoury bedspreads were not impressive, Linen not fresh, shower poor with no power. In the suite room there was several leaks on carpet. Missing light bulb. Windy vents in bathroom, unable to close, painted shut.

Upon checking in, I was told the room I had reserved was unavailable, so the gentleman checking me in, upgraded my reservation to a suite and waived the extra fee. Not that bad

The Tropicana isn't the best, but if you have your heart set on staying on the boardwalk and are on a budget, it's a decent choice. The rooms are a bit run down (although there is a new tower - haven't stayed there). The location is a little inconvenient for some of the other boardwalk hotels.....
