STAY AWAY... HORRIBLE Marriott!

Took a 2-day trip to NJ/NY, last minute. I had been on the website for Marriott. Hyatt Regency in Jersey City was booked solid, too bad. We called Courtyard,. Our room, UGH!!!!!!!! The DIRT, DUST & FILTH!!!! Bed sheets appeared clean, bathroom fine, not great. We hung the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign up & left to see the pool. The pool was merky & not even the boys wanted to use it. Great Alternative to NYC

Just got back yesterday from an 8 day/night stay in the NYC area. Of course we stayed at the Courtyard Marriott/Newport. I'd stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat. Our room was rather large w/ 2 queens and a sleeper sofa. The hotel was clean and well kept up. We ate breakfast twice at the restaurant downstairs (once on our first morning, second was the day we left). Breakfast buffett was pricey, decent selection, but service was superb.
