The reception area implies better quality rooms than there are. Our first room had a missing fridge and a microwave on the floor. To their credit they upgraded us to a suite straight away. My wife and I splurged on a suite with a whirlpool and generally enjoyed our stay. Of the offerings of hotels in Alamogordo, this one is 2nd only to the Holiday Inn Express in terms of quality.
