A caring, nurturing staff
I was in Albany for a 3-day conference and stayed at 74 State Street. I'd go back in a heartbeat...what a great place! I am somewhat picky about cleanliness, and I am a bear about quiet. I stayed here only one night. I had arrived by train from Philly via NYC. I stayed here because it was the closest hotel to the station. Upon arriving I got a cab to the hotel for $11.75 for two people. In Albany they pool fares and don't use meters. In retrospect, I'd probably use the convenient... A great deal and a great hotel!
This is definitely the nicest Clarion I've experienced... The room was spotless and a good size. I signed on for the cheapest AAA rate (under $100/night), so there was no view (no window, really), but for the price, I'm not complaining.
