Absolute Greatest Hotel Ever
Stayed here over a weekend in early May. Cannot remember ever being this happy / content with a hotel. Silver Sands is a Wonderful Place to Stay!
I've stayed at Silver Sands many times, both in the motel and in one of their cottages. I'm originally from Eastern Long Island, but I have no living relatives there now, so I can't crash at anyone's house when I go back to visit. Very old but kept with great care
We recently spent a weekend here. The location and views of Shelter Island across the water were wonderful. There is a small sandy (not rocky) beach with a roped-off swimming area and also a wooden deck with lounge chairs. There's also a large swimming pool with a sundeck that has a lifeguard on ... Great Family getaway
We just returned from a 4 day mini vacation at the Silver Sands. It was wonderful. The rooms are very comfortable for a family of 4 in the motel part. The beach is within 50 feet of your room.
