We booked the Montauk Yacht Club for a wedding reception. We had called 3 weeks earlier to ask re: early check-in and were told that it would be ok; however, when we arrived early we were told that it could not be accomodated. Pleasant Stay

Stayed for two nights and three days. The hotel could definitely use some renovations but most of the staff was friendly and the hotel provided shuttle service to and from the hotel every hour on the hour. ""desk clerk>> rude/obnoxious/condescending. floor in room and room above creaked so loudly, you could not have a moments peace. No basic amenities provided (ie) box of tissues or fresh toilet paper. balcony provided no privacy, for neighbors could clearly see into your room. My husband and I took a quick getaway trip to Montauk during the week. We searched and finally found Montauk Yacht Club Resort and Marina, one of the few hotels that would accept one night of stay (most hotels near Montauk will not accept one night stays, they want you to stay longer). FROM NEW YORK CITY AND ITS MAJOR AIRPORTS LGA / JFK TAKE I-495. LIE EASTBOUND TO EXIT 70 COUNTY ROAD 111 SOUTH APPROXIMATELY 7 MILES TO ROUTE 27 EAST TO MONTAUK. PROCEED ON 27 EAST, THROUGH THE HAMPTONS AND VILLAGE OF MONTAUK, PAST THE GAZEBO, UP THE HILL, PAST THE LIBRARY. JUST PAST POINTS OF INTEREST. SIGN ON THE LEFT IS JUNCTION WITH COUNTY ROAD 77 WEST LAKE DRIVE. MAKE A LEFT ONTO CR77. GO APPROXIMATELY 1.5 MILES TO 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT SIGN, AND MAKE THE IMMEDIATE RIGHT ONTO STAR ISLAND ROAD. PASS THROUGH THE STONE PILLARS. THE HOTEL IS APPROXIMATELY 200 YARDS ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE.
