Nice hotel but it's a noisy area!

My husband and I (50 somethings) just spent the weekend in NYC visiting our daughter (student at NYU) and our son (student at The New School). A lot to spend to be cool

Spare and uncomfortable lobby. Staff not very helpful and arrogant. Waited over 30 minutes to speak to conciege without success. Clearly very hip location for the young with wall to wall crowds in the streets at night for the nightclubs. Had to go through security at night to enter hotel due to l... I was entertaining 2 nice young ladies from Russia & Latvia by way of Ireland so I went to the bar to order drinks (as the servers seemed a bit overwhelmed).
