Descriptions from Across the Web

  • Built in 1890 as an office building for John Jacob Astor II, this landmark location was until recently home to shabby lofts for Soho artists. Then it was totally renovated into this impressive luxury boutique hotel. High ceilings and large windows add to the grandeur of each room. It is across th... more on Yahoo! Travel

It is such a comfortable and welcoming hotel, we felt like we were coming home every time we walked in. The staff are so friendly and h... TC/CH, a user of Tripadvisor. Great Location--Tries to be ""too trendy""

You know the feeling when you go to a totally empty resturant and you are told you cannot be seated? This was the feeling that we got at the Mercer. Perhaps it is just too trendy for us, but we travel a lot and this place, although nice, is nothing special. The location is great, but we just got ... Scott M., a user of travelocity.com. Soho's Best

(November 05, 2011 00:00)

Desk staff are clad in pastel cableknit sweaters rather than the all-black cooler-than-thou of the other... Roberto, a user of fodors.com. Read full review on Fodor's
